C1 Teachers
📍Baronissi (Italy): 08-09-10/11/2021
C1 was hosted by ‘M. Hack’ in Baronissi (IT), it lasted 3 days. The total number of participants was 6, of which 4 coming from abroad. They were all teachers coming from the partner schools.
The participating teachers had the occasion to reflect on their role in relation to the promotion of media literacy through their teaching practice. They worked together in order to develop strategies for developing and raising students abilities to access, analyse, evaluate and communicate information.
The participants also discussed and shared opinions on how to integrate activities inciting media literacy in the learning process in a transversal way, across the curriculum
The participants shared and compared their experiences, good practices, teaching methods and tools. The methodology applied was the cooperative learning, ICTs have been used. The activities took the form of brainstorming, debates, case-study, ppt and audio-video presentations, group activities.
C2 Teachers
📍Galabovo (Bulgaria): 28-29-30/03/2022
C2 was hosted by ‘VOCATIONAL HIGH-SCHOOL IN ENERGY AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING’ in Galabovo (BG), it lasted 3 days. The total number of participants was 7, of which 5 coming from abroad. They were all teachers coming from the partner schools.
They shared good practices, methodologies and strategies to successfully support their students and make them acquainted with the issues of disinformation and fake news and implement methodologies and tools to verify the truthfulness of a content.
The participants shared and compared their experiences, good practices, teaching methods and tools. The methodology applied was the cooperative learning, ICTs have been used. The activities took the form of brainstorming, debates, case-study, ppt and audio-video presentations, group activities.
C3 Teachers
📍Barcelinhos (Portugal): 04-05-06/05/2022
C3 was hosted by ‘Escola Secundária/3 de Barcelinhos’ in Barcelinhos (PT) and lasted 3 days. The total number of participants was 6, of which 4coming from abroad. They were all teachers coming from the partner schools.
The activity was focused on: the different ways of involving students in the process of creating media contents, using different kinds of support and tools; how to make their students aware of important issues such as hate speech, cyberbullying and data protection in an easy and involving way

C4 PUPILS

C4 was hosted by ‘M. Hack’ in Baronissi (IT), it lasted 3 days. The total number of participants was 22. Participants were 17 students and 5accompanying teachers coming from the partner schools. Out of them, there were n.12 individuals coming from abroad (10 students and 2accompanying teachers).
The students learnt about different kind of media (television, radio, press) and different kind of channels (traditional, internet, social media), their role and functions, as well as the contents vehiculated. Then, they were guided in activities aimed at stimulating reflections about the access to media and media content. Students also learnt how to deconstruct media content by answering basic and advanced deconstruction questions.
The activities took the form of presentations, brainstorming, role-plays, group and individual tasks, discussions, case studies. The methodologies applied were: peer learning, cooperative learning.
C5 PUPILS

C5 was hosted by ‘VOCATIONAL HIGH-SCHOOL IN ENERGY AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING’ in Galabovo (BG), it lasted 3 days. The total numberof participants was 22. Participants were 17 students and 5 accompanying teachers coming from the partner schools. Out of them, there were n.12 individuals coming from abroad (10 students and 2 accompanying teachers).
The students learnt about fake news, disinformation and misinformation, developed the ability to evaluate whether the information they encounter is reliable, and recognise when information is disinformation.
As a result of the activities carried out, students have developed their critical thinking skills which involves analysis, interpretation, evaluation, self-regulation, inference and explanation.
The activities took the form of presentations, brainstorming, role-plays, group and individual tasks, discussions, case studies. The methodologies applied were: peer learning, cooperative learning.
C6 PUPILS
📍Barcelinhos (Portugal): 04-05-06/05/2022
C6 was hosted by ‘Escola Secundária/3 de Barcelinhos’ in Barcelinhos (PT) and lasted 3 days. The total number of participants was 23. Participants were 18 students and 5 accompanying teachers coming from the partner schools. Out of them, there were n.15 individuals coming from abroad (12students and 3 accompanying teachers).
It is extremely important that students learn how to use ICTs and digital media to produce contents and, when doing it, be careful to respect data protection, use of images as well as take care of the respect of others. Students, in facts, need to get acquainted with some issues such as online hate speech, the effects of bullying and data protection, especially when using social media. Through the activities they have learnt how to produce media contents through ICTs both from the technical and ethical point of view.
